Prompt was to compose a poster of an influential person for a teenage audience. Requirements included usage of text and needed to be informative of the subject. I chose Jacques-Yves Cousteau who was an explorer, filmmaker, and marine researcher; he also discovered the echolocation abilities of porpoises.

Inspiration came from Wes Anderson since his movie, “The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou”, was dedicated to Cousteau. The quote at the bottom of the poster is from Cousteau himself, and is featured in another Anderson movie, “Rushmore”.
